The Pan Albanian American Congress (PAAC) congratulates the Socialist Party of Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama

Thursday, 29 April 2021 – The Pan Albanian American Congress (PAAC) congratulates the Socialist Party of Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama for their victory in the country’s recent parliamentary elections. We also applaud the opposition for running a vigorous and dignified campaign which has contributed to the democratic culture of Albania.

We call on both the government and opposition to work together in good faith to address the concerns of the OSCE expressed in their preliminary report.

Albania and Albanians throughout the region are facing immense challenges. It is of vital national interest for the government and opposition now to come together to ensure the successful completion of the legal reforms necessary to strengthen Albania’s European Prospects.

Tirana must also serve as a constructive base of support for Kosova as she navigates her course to full international recognition, and for the Albanians in North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Greece in their struggle to end institutional discrimination and enjoy fully equal rights. PAAC will work closely with the Albanian government and opposition to strengthen the

Albanian American relationship and Albania’s path into the EU.
